Additional software

While AI-generated images can be strikingly unique and creative, they may lack the finesse and precision of traditional digital artworks or photographs. To get the best from your Midjourney images it is often helpful to apply some additional editing to ensure that they are as high a quality as possible, and suitable for the intended purpose.

There are a number of additional pieces of software that you might find useful if you intend to use your images commercially.

  • Adobe Lightroom to catalogue and organize your Midjourney downloads and to perform basic edits and adjust colour.

  • Adobe Photoshop to remove unwanted elements or to replace backgrounds.

  • Topaz Gigapixel to upscale your Midjourney to a suitable size for printing.

In the example shown here I have used a photo I took at the zoo and composited using Photoshop into a background created in Midjourney.
